Turning the pedals
Glacial while melting white
Gushing down the cheeks and hands
The wheels keep gyrating
I drive and persist
Alight to oblivion
Alabaster footsteps and letters of direction
New York or suburban concrete
A scheme in grey-white
Smirks from the window panesWhile glances are squandered

In a dream world this promise subsists
Somewhere under the covers
White as white on roof tops
As white in eye sockets
As white in the skull
As white when a glance slides
Above neon temples
Stuck in concrete crux
